Volunteer Opportunity for December 13

For the third year in a row, the Woodworkers Guild of Georgia has been invited to display our handmade wooden toys at the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History's holiday event. The event this year will be held on Saturday, December 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at their location in Kennesaw.

In order for us to participate, we need people to staff our display tables on the day of the event. This involves assisting children with the portion of the toys that we allow them to interact with, answering questions about what we do, and just generally monitoring the tables. Past participants have found this to be a very enjoyable and rewarding experience. Whether you can volunteer for a few hours or the entire day, your support will be a significant contribution to promoting our guild. As an added benefit, you will have the opportunity see their wonderful museum free of charge during the day.

If you have toys that you would like to loan us for display, please let us know through the sign-up link, as well. You can do this even if you aren't available to participate in person.
