Roswell Children's Summer Camp Inspires New Woodworkers!

The Woodworkers Guild of Georgia partnered with the City of Roswell to support their summer camp program at the Art Center West in Leita Thompson Memorial Park. Over three sessions from June to July, 12 Guild volunteers, led by Brent Richardson, taught children aged 8-13 how to build birdhouses from cedar fence pickets using tools and materials provided by the Guild.

The volunteers enjoyed sharing their woodworking skills and inspiring the next generation of woodworkers through this fun and rewarding experience. Other volunteers included were Gene Elston, Gary Fader, Ron Kerr, Bob Leighton, Alex McFarland, Seymour Levine, Hans Meier, Norm Meinert, John Rehe, Mark Sutherland and Fred Van Etten.
